Great facilitation Many of the reasons why people resist innovative ideas and creative thinking are to do with them as individuals. We all have a particular perspective and experience, regardless of our roles, which informs our response to new ideas. Individuals can also find it difficult to expose their thinking, particularly under the critical eyes of their peer group. In fact one of the dangers of working in groups is the development of “group think” where individual creativity, uniqueness, and independent thinking are lost in the pursuit of group cohesiveness. Facilitation can help overcome both these personal barriers and those of group think. During Ignite events you can expect our facilitation to deliver: Highly productive group work where: · A respectful and supportive atmosphere develops · Multidisciplinary talents and skills are used to maximum effect · Different perspectives interact, collide and germinate truly innovative ideas · A variety of information sources deepens discussion and move debate forward · Groups develop capacity to work together, solve problems and make decisions. Sustainable innovation generated through: · Open mindedness, creative thinking and proposal generation · Synthesis of ideas into inclusive solutions · Decisions based upon group wisdom and mutual regard · Shared ownership, challenge and consistent follow through on committed actions. Personal development resulting from: · Creative collaboration and working with others · A balance of advocacy for ideas and inquiry into other peoples’ thinking · The use of leadership, interaction and communication skills · Immersion in an environment that presents broader and more challenging responsibilities.
