Ignite's change approach


Ignite's innovative approach to addressing challenges and opportunities has been developed and enhanced through significant experience in a wide variety of situations and sectors. It can be applied end-to-end in a single session where the challenge is simple and discrete. However it can also be used over the course of many months when addressing large complex, organisation-wide situations.

 

We believe the difference we make is primarily to do with how we do it. Applying our approach involves never accepting the ordinary and working together with clients to create extraordinary solutions that will deliver extraordinary results. In a world where the pressure is to solve problems at the earliest opportunity our approach forces an organisation to take one step back and in so doing give itself the opportunity to take a huge step forward and move far quicker than they otherwise would. Solve, yes. But first, stimulate imagination, challenge and create. Then stretch thinking and truly harness the views, opinions, experiences and talent of client teams to develop and deliver significant, sustainable benefits.

Our change approach has the following key stages:
  1. Frame the challenge – enabling groups to define a motivating and purposeful set of desired outcomes that will really stretch the organisation and take it forward
  2. Illuminate the issues – allowing a range of people with different perspectives to engage and get under the skin of the challenge identifying the real themes needing to be addressed and pinpointing the opportunities for change
  3. Create solutions – introducing insight and a range of models that stretch thinking, unfreeze blockages, and allow innovation to take hold enabling genuinely stretching solutions to emerge
  4. Stretch and build – ensuring great ideas are built into great solutions by putting meat on the bones and subjecting solutions to scrutiny to ensure they are both implementable and will deliver an impact
  5. Embed – implementing the ideas and making them sustainable

Throughout the approach:

  • Insight is used to introduce fresh thinking and to promote the emergence of genuinely innovative and stretching solutions.
  • We focus on achieving widespread and lasting engagement.
  • We apply a range of exciting and stimulating techniques to ensure that every key individual and group is as energised as we are when tackling the challenge and delivering stretching results.
