Designing 'to be' activities

Purpose

To design future activities (and the way in which they combine) that will deliver the target outcome and objectives, and overcome identified barriers.

Approach

There are two elements to this:

Activity analysis

  • creating a simple, high level picture of key organisation activities and their related FTEs and costs
  • drilling down into much greater detail where there is visibility of each individual activity, associated costs and cost drivers - giving a comprehensive picture of the future situation.
Workforce analysis

Where individuals plan how they will spend their time, enabling potential improvements to be highlighted.

Outcome

An analysis of 'to be ' activities showing activities, resources, drivers and outputs.
