Illuminate is all about getting to the heart of the challenge quickly and identifying the important themes that demand attention.
The key elements within illuminate are:
- creating an 'as is' activity analysis that shows activities, related resources, drivers and outputs
- creating high level and detailed 'as is' process maps or representations that bring to life the challenges and opportunities
- developing a picture of current levels of demand for products and services and establishing what stimulates and impacts on demand
- building an understanding of existing technology available to the organisation and the extent to which it is being used effectively to deliver target impact
- constructing a picture of customer experience that makes clear their current views and perspectives
- establishing a picture of existing culture and environment across and beyond the organisation from the perspective of different individuals and groups
- creating an understanding of where the current organisational structure works well, less well and where it breaks down
- creating an overall picture of the existing situation from all the perspectives above - that is thought provoking, highly accessible and galvanises project teams in terms of what needs to happen to make improvements and realise opportunities.
A range of innovation and change tools is used to support the delivery of these elements. The tools are deployed by the consultant in a way that responds most effectively to the unique context of the client.
